| The Telecom IP Network Expert role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including network design strategy, network engineering, implementation, migration planning, service design, proof of concept testing, optimization services, and customer training. The work is frequently on-site with customers during critical project phases. The Telecom Level IP Network Architect will be required to work in a consultative manner with vendors, project management, sales support, customer services, and systems engineering to scope and deliver professional service projects, which can include the following responsibilities: - Produce HLD/LLD with the best architecture available to support our customer's services
- Produce network implementation and migration plans
- Oversee equipment and service configuration
- Test and Support networks in various stages of deployment
- Audit and assess customer networks
- Formulate network management strategies
- Lead requirements and scoping workshops
- Produce and review technical statement of work documentation
- Provide appropriate training and assistance to NGN employees
- Evaluate customer networks for performance, scalability, and security.
- Work with internal technical teams and vendor for product placement and feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability.
- Work closely with vendor to test, design, and plan for deployments of new products and features.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer's & "vendor" technical management and teams.
- Develop and maintain in-depth technical and marketing knowledge of key ZTE product lines.
| | Qualifications: | Must possess - Expert Level Knowledge in IP routing protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF and RIP and of signaling protocols such as RSVP-TE and LDP.
- Extensive knowledge of VPLS and QOS standards.
- Detailed knowledge of Ethernet, ATM, SDH/SONET, Frame Relay, Packet over SDH/SONET, WDM, wireless technologies, Access technologies (DSL, cable, and lease lines), Layer 3 Traffic Engineering and L2 Traffic Management.
- Experience in Network Management, Operation Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Required: - Four year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent education.
- Alcatel-Lucent Service Routing Certification (3RP/SRA).
- Cisco Certification (CCIP/CCIE), and/or Juniper Certification (JNCIP/JNCIE), or equivalent experience.
- Masters degree is desired
